Streams Overview
Skilled Worker Program: For workers with skills and experience in occupations that are in demand in Yukon and who have a job offer from an eligible Yukon employer.
Critical Impact Worker Program: For semi-skilled or unskilled workers in occupations that are in high demand in Yukon and who have a job offer from an eligible Yukon employer.
Yukon Express Entry (YEE): For candidates in the federal Express Entry pool who have a valid job offer from a Yukon employer.
Business Nominee Program: For individuals who want to start or purchase and operate a business in Yukon.
Eligibility Criteria
- Job offer: Full-time, permanent job offer from an eligible Yukon employer in a skilled occupation (NOC 0, A, or B).
- Work experience: Relevant work experience in the occupation.
- Education: Post-secondary education relevant to the job offer.
- Language proficiency: Valid language test results meeting the minimum requirements (CLB 5).
- Job offer: Full-time, permanent job offer from an eligible Yukon employer in a semi-skilled or unskilled occupation (NOC C or D).
- Work experience: Relevant work experience in the occupation.
- Education: Minimum high school education.
- Language proficiency: Valid language test results meeting the minimum requirements (CLB 4).
- Job offer: Valid job offer from a Yukon employer.
- Federal Express Entry: Registered in the federal Express Entry pool.
- Work experience, education, and language proficiency: Meet the criteria of one of the federal economic immigration programs (FSW, FST, CEC).
- Net worth: Minimum net worth of CAD $500,000, with CAD $300,000 in liquid assets.
- Investment: Minimum investment of CAD $300,000 in a Yukon business.
- Experience: At least 3 years of entrepreneurial or business management experience and at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Business plan: Detailed business plan for the proposed business in Yukon.

- Job offer and employment documents: Employment contract, job offer letter.
- Educational documents: Degrees, diplomas, transcripts.
- Proof of work experience: Reference letters, pay stubs.
- Language proficiency test results: IELTS, CELPIP.
- Proof of funds: Bank statements, financial documents.
- Business documents (for entrepreneurs): Business plan, proof of investment, net worth statements.
- Police certificates: From all countries where the applicant has lived.
- Medical examination: Proof of health examination by an approved panel physician.
Application Process
- Create a profile: Register an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the desired stream.
- Invitation to Apply (ITA): Receive an ITA if you meet the criteria.
- Submit application: Complete the online application and submit all required documents.
- Assessment: YNP reviews the application.
- Nomination: If approved, receive a provincial nomination.
- Apply for Permanent Residence: Submit the nomination to the federal government (IRCC) for processing of permanent residence.
